About the role
You will own domain modelling, APIs and integrations across client platforms and our own products. The work rewards people who enjoy getting the unglamorous foundations right the first time.
What you'll do
- Model domains and design schemas that age well
- Build typed APIs and integration layers with real error handling
- Implement auth, multi-tenancy and row-level security
- Write tests that catch regressions before clients do
- Instrument services so failures are visible immediately
What we're looking for
- 4+ years building production backends
- Strong PostgreSQL and TypeScript or Node.js
- Experience with third-party integrations that misbehave
- Habit of writing tests without being asked
- Clear reasoning about consistency and failure modes
Nice to have
- Workflow engines such as Temporal
- Payments or hospitality domain experience
- Infrastructure-as-code familiarity
